Paul Glazner
Teaching & Assimilation Pastor
Paul and Jan Glazner have been serving SFC for 25 years. They were very young when they accepted the call to Pastor a small group of 50 people who had been without a pastor for one and a half years. The Glazners and the family church were a good fit, and God has blessed them both.
The church started a building project in 1991, and it seems the church has been building or adding ever since. The church made the move to holding two worship services in the mid 90’s and expanded to three services around the year 2000. The ministry here has been a time of rich learning and growth.
Paul grew up in a Pastor’s home that moved about every five years until finally settling in Coos Bay, Oregon, which is where Paul attended high school. While Jan grew up in a Christian home in Bellingham, Washington, they met at Multnomah School of the Bible (now Multnomah University) in 1979.
Paul and Jan served in a Youth ministry in Lynden Washington until they came to Sutherlin in 1986. “Our prayer,” says Paul, “was that the ministry here would prosper in such a way that everyone would clearly see it was God at work”. That prayer has been answered.
Paul and Jan have three daughters. Megan is finishing her math degree at Portland State, Jodi is working as a Nurse at OHSU and Ronda is working in the Alumni department of Multnomah.
